Steve Wozniak Misquoted 'Almost every app that I have is better on the iPhone'

Earlier today we posted that Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple has been interviewed and quoted that "Android phones have more features" which would help Google's OS become the dominant smartphone platform and will be the winner of smartphone wars, Wozniak is now trying to walk back his comments a little bit.

Facebook's Mail Coming this Monday to Take on Gmail

Project Titan is coming on Monday in Facebook's event to take on Gmail. Facebook has acquired FB.com domain name, may be for this project. Project Titan is a web-based email client that we hear is unofficially referred to internally as its “Gmail killer”.

The event that we already reported about hinted strongly that the news would have something to do with its inbox, or chat improvements. Now, it seems like Titan is real. From here, you shall ask yourself, "Why I'll give up Gmail for Facebook mail?".

If I were Google, I would be very angry because Facebook mail could be a killer but why will it kill Gmail? Facebook has 500 million active users while Gmail is estimated at 170 million registered users. Think about it, Facebook's users are already using messaging system and chat system so may be lots of users (probably all) will try this Facebook Mail. I think if Facebook played the game right and made the best web-based e-mail, it will kill Gmail, what about you?

Windows Phone 7, iPhone 4 and Android in a Grilling Contest [VIDEO]

You might have surmised from the title, Grilling Contest. WP7, iPhone 4 and Google's Android G2 device in a grilling contest. EZGrill made a quick grilling contest using a hot grill between Android G2 (for $599), Windows Phone 7 (for $549), and iPhone 4 ($731). So, which one will win? Le's face it.

Install Android on your iPhone Directly from your Device with BootLace

Remember iPhodroid which installs Android OS on your iPhone? Well, some hackers could make it even easier than before, you can now install Google's Android OS on your iPhone directly from your device without using computer thanks to the updated version of BootLace.

We have got full step by step guide and thanks to guys over iSpazio for spotting this shoots. Follow the steps below to install Android OS on your iPhone.

Supported devices:

• iPhone 2G on iOS 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 jailbroken with Blackra1n, Redsn0w or PwnageTool.
• iPhone 3G on iOS 4.x jailbroken with Redsn0w or PwnageTool.

STEP 1: Once your device is jailbroken, tap on Cydia, touch Manage then choose Sources and add http://repo.neonkoala.co.uk. Now, search for BootLace and install it.

STEP 2: After installing the app, launch it, tap on OpeniBoot and hit the Install button as shown in the screenshot:

STEP 3: BootLace will check your compatibility and an automated process will take place to download and install some important files to install iBoot to run Android OS.

STEP 4: Now give your device a reboot, and you will be able to choose between iOS and Android OS through the QuickBoot tab.

STEP 5: Although, through the iDroid tap, you can remove BootLace whenever you want and get back to the normal iOS.

Google to Launch Android Gingerbread on November 11th

According to a trusted source via IntoMobile, the SDK for Android Gingerbread version 2.3 will debut on November 11th. What makes us sure that this rumor may be very true that Samsung is holding an event in New York next week on the 8th to launch Gingerbread-powered Nexus Two.

A trusted source has tipped us to the potential launch date for Gingerbread, the 2.3 version of Android. According to our source, the SDK for this upcoming revision will debut on November 11th.

Moreover, the Gingerbread was spotted in front of Google HQ two weeks ago, this of course suggests that the launch is very soon. Also take in mind that this is just a rumor, you know what I'm talking about !

Google Instant Lands on the iPhone and iPod Touch

So, Google Instant was announced two months ago to make a little difference or no difference to me. Whatever, Google Instant has arrived on the iPhone and iPod touch, and probably other iOS devices. It's currently not available on all countries.

Twitter for Android Gets Twitter iPhone App Features

Android users rejoice! Twitter for Android has received a major update which includes some awesome enhancements and introduces a more consistent experience keeping users well updated, connected and with access to features as compared to Twitter for iPhone App.

Major updates include Swipe on a tweet and options like retweet, links to the profile of tweeter, favorite etc.

Chrome OS Devices Coming by End of November

You read it right! Google's Chrome OS is nearly finished and ready to be pushed to the masses. This OS is planned to work on a device slightly smaller than a notebook that has internals of smarthphone. The first mobile devices using Google Chrome OS are set to be launched by the end of this month, according to DigiTimes.

According to another report from CNET, the Chrome OS devices won't be sold in through retails but it would be sold by the way Nexus one was sold. When the Nexus one was launched, it was started to be sold through Google's own website and was a very open platform for developers to experiment on. Google's Gingerbread based device Nexus Two Reveals itself [Picture]

Google's Nexus one was already a hit mobile around everywhere and there it is the what so called "Nexus Two" the long rumored phone. There were lots of rumors about this phones from the last few weeks and we have the picture of it, that how it looks. Google has choose Samsung to build this phone not HTC.there might be a reason behind it?

This phone was first revealed by Gizmodo as when they saw this device there reaction was something like:

"When I first saw it from 10 feet away, I thought it was the Galaxy S," says our source, who got to handle one. "I was a little surprised it was the Nexus Two," because it’s so different from the Nexus One.

We have some of the data about its design and a little bit about its specs, as Gizmodo is also not to sure about it's specs. Basically it's Black and shiny, built with glossy plastic. It have the same 4 Inch AMOLED Touch Screen same as the other Samsung Galaxy S devices. But this phones looks thinner than Galaxy S phones. It also have a Front facing camera, and hopefully this phone will feature Android 2.3/3.0 (Gingerbread). It's front face camera which will become more useful when Google creates a new software same as "Apple's Facetime" maybe something like Google talk.

This phone might be a good challenge for iPhone 4. After we've got the full specs of this phone then we'll know if this is better than iPhone 4 or not.

PlayStation Phone: ‘I'm Real and I Run Android Gingerbread’

We know it's hard to believe something like that but you have to do so because it's real. In the last few months there were lots of rumors about Sony's phone and its OS and specs. Android Gingerbread Arrives at Google HQ [Video]

Yes that's right! The new version of Android will be named "Gingerbread", no more rumors. The folks over at Google have dished a few details on Gingerbread (Android 3.0). Although it's not officially announced, the name has been confirmed by a video uploaded on Youtube by AndroidDevs shows the Gingerbread statue arriving in a truck at Google’s HQ, being moved to the left of Froyo’s statue and then being erected by Google employees.

What about the new features included in this Gingerbread? Well, earlier this month, Android chief and vice president of engineering explained:

"More forms of communication. I think social media is a form of communication," Rubin said. "I think you would just talk about general improvements to the platform and make it faster and more robust. I think gaming is an area that I think is underserved right now. We're actually going through a reinvention of casual gaming. If you look at a console game like an XBOX or a PlayStation or a Nintendo, I think it's very, "sit down and try to get to the maximum level possible." On cell phones and devices that are battery operated, I think there's more kind of "what do you do in between the times when you're doing something?" It's more about running a game to fill time rather than running a game to be a dedicated event."

Logitech Revue with Google TV Coming This Month for $299

I think this is going to change everything! Two days ago, we broke the news about Google TV's min-website to introduce the all-new Google TV which will beat Apple's one. Today, Logitech's Revue Google TV box (with 1.2Ghz Intel Atom CE4100 processor) is now available for pre-order for $299, unveiling a bunch of new features. If you pre-order today, you will get by the end of the month, Sept. 29 to be exact.

Logitech Revue comes with Google TV box, keyboard with integrated touch and directional pad, an HDMI cable, one IR blaster and a couple of AA batteries. Also other accessories are available for pre-orders including a $149 webcam and larget keyboard for $99.

The TV Cam features a Carl Zeiss lens and is designed for video chatting from the comfort of your living room (Other cameras won't work, because Logitech's Google TV camera has built-in hardware compression for the video). You will be able to video chat with any other Logitech camera

Content can also be pushed from your PC, allowing easy local streaming. It works with all codecs extensions as MP3, AAC, JPEG, MKV. Oh, as mentioned before, you can fling content from a phone to Google TV. About the apps, it will run Android-based apps which will be available from a Google TV market. All the apps demonstrated seemed pretty fast and fluid.

Google Googles for iPhone and iPod touch Now Available for Download

Google has finally released it's popular Android app Google Goggles to iPhone and iPod touch. In case you don't know, using Google Googles is available as a feature in the Google Mobile App. To use the feature just tap on the camera button to search using Goggles. Goggles will analyze the image and highlight the objects it recognizes just click on them to find out more.

Google Launches Google TV Website with Details; Apple May Lose

Google today has launched an extensive site for their Google TV. With the launch of the site, so developers are getting ready to announce their apps for Google TV. There still no price or date known but the site is giving a good look at some features especially when considered against the new Apple TV (will Apple lose the war?).

So far, we’ve seen announcements from Twitter, Pandora, CNBC, Vevo and Netflix. Watch the embedded video and look at the applications, you will be able to expand your TV in any way you want using these applications (This is the real difference between Google & Apple's TV) but Apple can also do this, they just need to enable it and they better do it soon before the cameras go away.

Google will also allows users with iOS & Android devices to serve as a remote for their Google TV including voice search & the ability to link multiple phones with a single Google TV. Also as noticed by CrunchGear, you will be able to make video calls from your Google TV, yes the same as FaceTime but on a big screen. It will even have an AirPlay feature called flinging, which will differentiate itself by flinging whole websites and not just the certain type of video content playable by Apple's TV.

Android on iPhone 4 Coming Soon Through Userland iDroid

Planetbeing already ported Android 2.2 on iPhone 3G / 2G with the help of iPhodroid which made it easy! But iPhone 4 / 3GS users still wants to try Andriod on their devices, so hackers has successfully patched the iOS kernal to accept oversized NOR images to be able to install Andoid on iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS through a userland iDroid installation.
